Poor watchface selection | You need to rely on third-party apps when you want more customization options. |
No light sensor | You"ll have to lớn adjust the screen"s brightness manually when you go running out in the sun. |
Convoluted app | The ngươi Fit ứng dụng has gotten better over the years, but it"s still not intuitive. |
When you take the mày Band 6 out of its box (which also contains a charging cable & the strap), you"ll instantly notice the big 1.56-inch màu sắc OLED screen that stretches across the pill-shaped front of the device. Its only blemish is the slightly bigger bottom bezel. The whole display is about một nửa bigger than previous models, và its improved 152x485 resolution will make it hard khổng lồ spot individual pixels at normal viewing distances. Despite the larger screen, the ngươi Band 6 grew by a mere fraction of a millimeter. Paired with bigger fonts across the system, the new mã sản phẩm makes it much easier to process information at a glance.

Due to lớn its big screen, the mày Band 6 doesn"t have a capacitive home/back button like previous ngươi Bands. Instead, it relies on a swipe from the left edge of the screen as a back gesture in most menus, much like Android and iOS bởi vì these days. The only place where that"s not the case is the homescreen. Here, a swipe khổng lồ the right reveals audio/media controls while a swipe left lets you view the current weather conditions by default, though both actions can be switched out for multiple other actions in the ngươi Fit app.
The bigger screen makes navigating the watch much easier, but overall, moving through the menus feels rather janky, with lots of dropped frames và delayed cảm biến responses. Since you probably won"t be finding yourself interacting with the screen as much as with your phone it should be fine, but a responsive interface would still be preferable.

It"s hard to believe, but mày Bands haven"t supported emoji until the mi Band 6. It"s the first in the series khổng lồ display them out of the box in notifications, though it looks like there are still quite a few missing compared to what game android offers, especially more outlandish ones. Either way, it"s a step in the right direction.
While there are dozens of watchfaces available in the app, I personally don"t like most of them. Many are based around fandoms or popular culture, và the rest are either over-the-top designs from the 2000s or just plain ugly. At least you can địa chỉ cửa hàng your own backgrounds khổng lồ a handful of pre-defined layouts, giving you some customization options out of the box. For anything else, you"ll need lớn rely on third-party software like Amazfit.
The ngươi Band 6 introduces oxygen saturation measurements khổng lồ the mày Band series, và while you need khổng lồ manually start the process khổng lồ get readings, they seem to be pretty accurate. I compared some of the results I got khổng lồ those of a medical SpO2 meter, and they weren"t far off. If you were to lớn have too little oxygen in your blood, the band should be able to tell (but keep in mind that it"s not a medical device).

Yes.The ngươi Band 6 is the perfect fitness band for the budget conscious consumer who wants a basic overview of their health status. It"s much better than its predecessors và there are barely any inconsistencies và inaccuracies left, with most of the tracking on spot for me, allowing me to give it a wholehearted recommendation — despite some of the software quirks I"ve experienced.
Compared to other fitness trackers, the ngươi Band is still missing a few features. Some Fitbit products have built-in GPS và NFC for payments, both of which you don"t get on the ngươi Band (NFC is available in the Chinese version, for what it"s worth). But these devices are also much more expensive. At $50-$60, there"s not much competition for the mày Band 6 in the US, especially now that it nails the basic fitness features.

I"ve been using the mi Band 6 on & off for the last month, and my opinion is largely unchanged. In fact, I actually took another look at the Band 6"s predecessor, and it"s incredible how old-fashioned và straight up ugly it looks with its rectangular screen fitted into the oval front. A display that stretches across the whole shape is much more aesthetically pleasing.
However, I"ve been annoyed with automatic workout tracking on the mày Band 6. It notifies me whenever it detects a workout, but it doesn"t start tracking right then & there. I need to lớn approve tracking manually, which is rather dangerous when I"m on my xe đạp in the middle of Berlin traffic. This might not be as bad when you"re out running, but I personally find myself riding the xe đạp much more often & would love to lớn have it just automatically start tracking.
Other than that, the band has basically turned into a glorified notification buzzer for me, & thus, battery life is stellar. I can imagine that it might not live up to the battery life of its predecessor with that tiny screen, but I"ve still only had to lớn charge it twice since the đánh giá from a month ago. Granted, I"m barely wearing it while I"m home, but this shows that standby battery life is no joke.
If you want an affordable fitness tracker, or even just an unobtrusive wrist-based notification buzzer, the mi Band 6 really is the way lớn go.
